Dr Harjit Singh
Harjit Singh is a Consultant Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary Surgeon at the Prince Court Medical Centre, Kuala Lumpur and visiting surgeon to the Department of Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary and Liver Transplant Surgery at Hospital Selayang.
He is a fellow of both the Royal Colleges of Surgeons of Edinburgh and Ireland. He trained in Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary & Liver Transplant Surgery under the tutelage of Professor Russell W. Strong at the Princess Alexandra Hospital, Brisbane.
Dr. Harjit was instrumental in the setting up of the first dedicated Department of Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary and Liver Transplant Surgery within the public healthcare system in Malaysia, at Hospital Selayang. He served the Malaysian public healthcare system in various positions for over 30 years including that as the National Advisor for General Surgical Services.
He is involved in several national & international professional societies and is a founding member of the Asia-Pacific Neuroendocrine Tumour Society.
